First class back for 2025, and it's a free class!
HappensDance is coming to the Adelaide Hills, the first Sunday of every the month, starting on 5 th January 2025, 3 till 5pm.
Held at the MYLOR HALL (cnr Strathalbyn Road & Cross St, Mylor SA), there will be two (2) hours of informal/casual WCS practice, to complement the Happensdance Thursday night group classes!
The sessions are aimed at slightly more experienced / self-motivated students, or anyone looking for a space to take a private lesson! However, we welcome anyone who is signed up to our Happensdance community and has completed at least 12 (twelve) weeks at beginners level.
The cost is only $5.00 per dancer to cover the hall hire. Non-dancers & kids are free (but they are your responsibility!)
This initiative is being co-ordinated by two of our teachers, Russell and Jane, who are very happy to help you in any way they can, but there won’t be any group classes!
This time and space will also be available for students to book private lessons with any of HD teachers willing venture up the hill. Private lesson bookings would be up to each of you to negotiate and book yourselves, with a teacher of your choice.

Casual continuers class at 7 pm and beginners at 8 pm as normal.
By attending HappensDance class, you choose to adhere to our Code of Conduct.
New students welcome once they've completed the Beginners 6 week course.
Payment of Continuers class also gives free entry to the Beginners class on that night.

Practise what you've learned in class and dance the night away! Guest DJs playing tunes for you every week!
Free for any students who also attended Beginners or Continuers class that night.

West Coast Swing is a modern partner dance, with origins in Lindy Hop, and is constantly evolving. It can be danced socially or in competition, and to almost any 4/4 music style: blues, pop, soul, RnB, funk, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop – the list goes on!
HappensDance aims to create a fun community of dancers who enjoy the social element of West Coast Swing, while also challenging our students to improve as they learn. Our teachers love West Coast Swing and seeing students grow in both confidence and skill level over time.
