Big Changes for 2026

HappensDance is back for 2026! We're kicking off the year with a free class on Thursday 22 January, with our first Beginner course the following Thursday 29 January.

New Venue

Due to our continued growth, HappensDance classes will be relocating to a new venue in 2026: Burnside Ballroom, 401 Greenhill Rd, Tusmore SA 5065. We are incredibly excited about this move, as the new space will provide:

  • A beautiful environment to learn an develop
  • A stunning timber floor with seating all around
  • More room to grow our class sizes
  • A separate area for our Level 3 & 4 classes and/or private lessons

Class Time Changes

To complement this move, we will be making changes to class start times. These changes will ensure all Level 1 students can enjoy social dancing immediately after their class, rather than waiting 45 minutes as is currently the case.

Please note the new schedule and mark it in your diaries:

  • 8.30 pm - Level 1 + 3 classes
  • 9.15 pm - Social Dancing

What is WCS?

West Coast Swing is a modern partner dance, with origins in Lindy Hop, and is constantly evolving. It can be danced socially or in competition, and to almost any 4/4 music style: blues, pop, soul, RnB, funk, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop – the list goes on!

HappensDance aims to create a fun community of dancers who enjoy the social element of West Coast Swing, while also challenging our students to improve as they learn. Our teachers love West Coast Swing and seeing students grow in both confidence and skill level over time.
